Competitive? Or Over the Top?
There is so much Controversy when it comes to the "Pageant World". Especially The High Glitz pageants. Is is competitive? Or just degrading?
*Some people believe it is sexualizing young girls; Making them look like they are 25. Parading them around in skimpy outfits, and teaching girls at a young age that if you are not beautiful, you are not a winner. Some believe the girls wear too much make up, and that fake teeth, eyelashes, nails and hair is not really true beauty but an image created by the mother to win a crown.
*Some think it is only good competition, and that it teaches the girls sportsmanship at a young age. I have heard "Girls like to play dress up anyway, what is the difference?" There are parents and loved ones who are very serious when it comes to the money spent on the pageant. I have seen dresses that go for thousands of dollars, entry fees for $1,500, and 4 outfit changes.
I do not really mind putting Aubree in pageants. She has beautiful Eyelashes of her own, beautiful teeth and hair. I paint her nails. But, I like the girl she is on stage. She is so pleasant, so poise. She practices hard nearly everyday. The moment she says she is done, I'm done. I do not agree with forcing a child into a pageant...

"Step" on me.
The way things are nowadays, the normal family contains atleast one "step" something.
I never imagined being a step-mom would be difficult. Truth is, I had to learn to love kids as much as I do
my own. I am not a 'kid' person. But, When it comes to Aleigh and Landon, it didnt take much convincing!
They are 2 of the sweetest little people.
Im so glad my 2 get along so well with them.
Growing up I had a step-mom, and a step-dad. At first, it was rough. But, I was young. Luckily, I had great Steps.
I have made it a priority to be a great step-mom.
I have made it a priority to get along with the "baby-momma" and the "baby-daddy". This is important. Keeping the peace is much more important than petty drama. Kids are a lot smarter than some people think. They can hear everything going on around them. If they do not understand it right then, they will remember it, and understand it later!
That is why we keep straight faces. In exchange for these faces...

See me?
So, One of my many passions is to take pictures. Besides, making tutus, drawing, painting, decor, etc. I have always wanted to. I have the creative mind for it. I have just never had the time, money or patience to invest in it.
For Valentines, Eric bought me a Nikon D3100 (Stoked!!) and I bought myself just a plain white back drop and the frame for it just fr practice!
I cant wait to to get started! I just got the backdrop in the mail yesterday, so as soon as I got home I set it up.
I already have a couple models, and plan to take a couple classes soon. So Look out World! =)

Write It Down
So as you all know, back in September, I lost my Nan.
She opened my eyes to a lot with her passing, As much as I hate to say that.
She opened my eyes to a lot with her passing, As much as I hate to say that.
She wrote everything down, and put a date on it.
In every single book that she read, she put the month and year that she finished it.
When it was beautiful out that day, she just randomly wrote the date down anywhere and said "Nice out"
She made little notes out beside a random recipe of what she did the day before.
So I have decided to do the same. Every craft made for me, I keep. Every flower picked for me, I keep. Every memory made by me, I Write it Down.

Month in a Nutshell
Sorry is has been so long... let me try to sum up this past month for you!!
We had our first warm day of the winter on January 16th. It was 47 degrees outside but very sunny and no wind, it felt like 67.
I made my very first Chicken fried steaks and also made some twice baked potatoes!
Paid cash for a Maxima! 1st Car I have ever owned!

Aubree wrote her name all by her self for the very first time!
I took Aubree and Kharter to the movie theater for their first time. Kharter didn't last long, so Eric took him to WalMart. Aubree and I stayed and finish Gnomeo and Juliet in 3D! She had a blast!
My Aunt Lenette finally found out what was causing her so much pain. The doctors finally told her it was IBS. Glad they finally know so that her pain will be under control.
Aleigh got to meet Miss Arkansas. She went to Fort Smith and got her autograph, made a paper crown, and watched her do her ventriloquism routine.
Spent Valentines Day with my love. He got me a Nikon D3100, Some Pink Roses and a Razorback Scarf!
Eric got an '05 Ninja 250!!
This pretty much sums it up! I hope you enjoyed!!
Made my first Tutu for Aubree's Sweetheart pageant. It was so cute!
Got Skipped by the snow, wished for snow and got 16 inches.
I missed my Nan!
My Hubby had his last "20's" Birthday party ever, and got a 42' Vizio. We were going to have friends come up, but the snow changed that...
Aubree and Kharter went to see their daddy and stayed for 2 weeks! It was the longest I had ever gone with out them.
We finally celebrated Aleigh's 7th birthday. Her and I went shopping, then we baked a cake together, and had a makeover while Landon and Daddy worked on the car.
I had an Excellent day at work. I beat Eric in sales which is very rare!
My plant Susie, The prettiest plant I had, died. She was a dracaena lemon lime.
Watched the Super Bowl. The commercials were not as good as they have been. My favorite was The tire commercial! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dc1eKHgy_o
Got 2 more feet of snow. Walked to work in it.
American Idol started. I didn't think we would like Jennifer Lopez or Steven Tyler as judges. Turns out, This may be my favorite season! And I'm rooting for Stephano! I love his voice!
Finally bought Aubree her 1st Glitz Dress! Its Black and White and Beautiful! She got 1st Runner up at the Miss Sweetheart pageant.
Aleigh won 2 Ultimate Grand Supreme Titles in one day.
Landon had his tonsils and adenoids removed, and tubes put in his ears. He was very brave!
We finally had Kharter's 2nd birthday party. Thanks to all who came and Thanks for the wishes from those who couldn't make it.
Kharter is pretty much potty trained. A few accidents here and there.
I finally got my Rondo Shirt made at the Mall. Rajon Rondo was leading in Steals last season and one of the announcers said "Grand Theft Rondo". I thought it was cute so I put it on a shirt! Love it!

Realized that 90's music is out of style! My kids would now like to hear "their kind of music".
I woke up on Thursday the 17th sicker than I have ever been and have been sick ever since! =(
Aubree, Aleigh and I made some hair bows! It was my first time!
I took the girls Summer Clothes Shopping. They got 5 dresses each and we made a hair bow to match each one!
We went to our First Hogs Baseball Game! It was Cold and Rainy. But, Fun! Then we came home and made Smores and drank Hot Cocoa. This pretty much sums it up! I hope you enjoyed!!

Pisces
So since the beginning of our lives we were always told what "Zodiac Sign" we are based on the month we are born and the alignment of the starts.
We take pride in What sign we have been given. Some follow their daily horoscopes, and some even have branded themselves in ink.
Today we see the alignment in the stars has changed and it will effect the days included in all months of the Zodiac signs.
Here is the new Calendar.
