Aubree is my baby girl. She is biracial (black and white). I wanted a name for her that was not too white and not too black, so to say. We came up with Aubree Aunna. And it fits her so beautifully.
She is 3 now, and quite the diva. Very intelligent. Quite the personality. She is probably the funniest little girl I have ever met. Recently she just entered her first pageant. She won queen in her age division. I was so proud of her. For her first time and not really knowing what to do, she did amazing. It was so cute, when she walked out on stage and seen her brother, she said really loud "HI BUBBA!" the judges just thought it was cute!
Her favorite things right now are:
- The Olivia Dollhouse
- Baby Dolls (playing like mommy)
- And Make up!
She was So excited when her baby brother was born. She didn't want to leave his side.
My son's name is Kharter Anthony. He is for sure a momma's boy. When he was born he had a hard time digesting the formula and couldn't sleep for more than 15 minutes at a time without cringing in pain. It took a few weeks after they changed over his formula for him to digest it regularly. I didn't get to have a nursery for him, because of some issues with my personal life. He slept in a bassinet right next to my bed.
When he was a year old, he had difficulty breathing and we immediately took him to the Emergency room. They told us it was RSV, gave us some inhalers and sent us home.
He will be 2 this month. And he has been hospitalized twice for this respiratory problem. This last time was the scariest situation I have ever experienced.
We went in because he was lethargic. He could hardly breath and was throwing up mucus. As soon as we entered the double doors, they grabbed him from me and rushed him back. It was all in slow motion. I just remember them saying if he doesn't respond they would put him on a ventilator. And my heart sank. He awoke and talked to the doctors, and they avoided taking higher measures, but he was admitted and we stayed for 3 days.
We haven't been back to the Hospital since. We have been treating him for Reactive Airway Disease and he seems much better.
He is such a sweet baby boy. He gives me kisses all day. And hugs.
Right now he is into:
- Diego
- Lightening McQueen
- And Toy Story 3
My Step Daughter is Aleigh BreAnn. She is turning 7 this month! There are no words to describe her. She is beautiful and quite the Beauty Queen.
I was very nervous to meet her. Something about a daddy's girl and a Step-mom relationship was very intimidating to me. But, We hit it off pretty good.
I never really felt welcome at my Dad and Step-Mom's house. I made it a priority to make her comfortable. She shares a room with my Aubree, and she has her own twin bed. Her room is painted Pink with a baby blue accent wall. They have matching Lime Green, Pink and Baby Blue Quilts and Pillow Cases with their own decorative pillows and throw blankets. They have a walk in closet with their own sides, and I am working on a vanity for her for Christmas.
She is into:
- Anything "big girl"
- Big time Rush
- And she is Team Jacob (not me)
My Step-Son is Landon Cade. What a personality. He has really changed since I first met him. He was a toddler, but now he is such a big boy.
I just love him. He refuses to call me anything but "Step mom". And I think it is just adorable.
He shares a room with my Kharter. At first they had a sports themed room with each wall painted as a different sports ball.
It was fantastic.
But now that we have moved into our new house, it is a plain white room that we are going to make into a Race Car/ Lightening McQueen room! He will just love it!
He digs:
- Race Cars
- Dragons
- Thomas the Train
- Anything boyish
These are my babies... And you can imagine a day in the life of... Me!
